Immature characters, these are young adults and not middle schoolers? Nothing is truly fleshed out, but so many ramblings about nothings, needs serious editing;

I liked that it went into depth about mental illnesses, but at some point it felt like the results of a google search. I enjoyed it, but I kept wishing I was just rereading the first book.

As much as I was overbored with the plot of this series, I wanted to catch up. It might be due to the author starting to move the series or his writing away from YA lit to lit, but the multiple POV doesn't do anything when the MCs are this boring, even as nice as it was to return to characters from the first. And now I see why there was a prequel to begin with. I'll check out other stuff from this author but I think I'm done with this series after this one. In hindsight I think that prequel deserves a half star more than I gave it at the time.
