This book was not for me at all. While I loved book 1 and found book 2 okay, this was unfortunately just not it. 17 year old me would probably eat this book right up, though.
It was way too repetetive for me and I couldn't connect with any of the main characters. While I sympathized with Paz for all his struggles, he just annoyed me, even if I tried to care about him.. I don't really have much to say about Alano. Parts of his chapters read more like a Wikipedia article than a fiction book.
I don't know if I'll read the next book when it's published. While I found the final sentence intriguing, I don't think it's enough to justify the rest of the entire book.

Wow that was sad, and it definitely didn’t need to be 720 pages. I’m still confused on how he can remember stuff when he was in the womb bc that’s technically impossible, but I’ll try to ignore that ig! I’m also concerned about them depending on each other to live and the whole codependency insta love they got going on, but maybe that’ll be addressed in the next book (I hope)? It’s def not a YA romance as marketed, I’ll tell you that. It was very dark
