This woulda been five stars for me except that a big chunk of the first half of the book was a bit of a drag, especially for a last book in a series. I wanted it to feel urgent, like I had to read it right now. And I didn’t like how there’s this whole bit

with Mari being told she has to find Adelaide, and they haven’t really resolved this bit with the ‘rebel’ king and his wannabe wife.

But overall I really enjoyed this series, and I would recommend it.

I am going to miss these characters. It was a good ending for this series. It was a little bit rushed and I want a novella or book for Mari and Griffin.
