Liked book 1 and 2, but this just kind of fell off for me. It was fine, but I wouldn’t recommend to someone as one of my top romantasy series - if she writes another in the series I may read it - it’ll only be because after all the back and forth with Mari and Griffen, I want to see them finally get together and I assume the next book in the series would be theirs.

I’m a little salty about the conclusion of this trilogy with some major loose ends left open, such as the fate of Lumera or who Adelaide is. The writing felt a bit messier in the third book as the author seemingly struggled to wrap up the story, and in truth the final epilogue chapter felt rushed and avoidant. All of the unresolved plot lines would have made for a heck of a fourth installment, but I suppose a story is finished when the author’s heart feels it is.
Overall as a series thoroughly immersive and deeply enjoyable with a god tier romance.

Okay, so—the final book in the Sacred Stones trilogy—didn’t really hit the mark for me. I loved the first book. It had that delicious tension, mystery, and so much intrigue that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. But somewhere along the way, the magic fizzled out. This one felt... repetitive. Like the same cycle over and over, and I kept waiting for something new to happen. I wanted a finale that would leave me breathless, but instead, it just circled familiar ground. Don’t get me wrong, I still adore the world Kate Golden built, and I cared about the characters, but the momentum just wasn’t there. Maybe my expectations were too high, but compared to book one, this ending didn’t deliver the punch I was hoping for.
