second chance romance will always be one of my faves and this definitely did not disappoint.
rowan and violette were friends in high school and got close, catching feelings for one another until something ripped them apart. years later and a lot of hurt between the two of them, they run into one another and rowan is determined to fix things. i loved the dynamic between these two and how rowan was with hollie. i’m sat entirely for how down bad rowan is for violette throughout the entire book. this was also my first paisley hope book and i can guarantee it won’t be the last one!!
the narrators did such a splendid job bringing these characters and book to life!

I had high hopes for this one, the synopsis had me hooked. But idk it fell flat for me somehow. I will be honest - I just was bored for a lot of it. I expected way more dramatics I guess! I think more yearning would’ve helped that true “second chance” that I love so much. It was kind of insta-lovey in a way that didn’t make sense. And for my personal preference the spicy scenes were just way too long and back to back.
That being said there were a lot of super cute moments - mainly anything with holly. I grinned so hard at the concert scene!!!
Audiobook was duet narration! That was a huge plus for me and elevated the story. Gideon frost has a total firefighter voice. And ms. brentmoor you are always my favorite ❤️

I love a single mom romance! loved how they worked through their past hurt to find a safe place.
OMG and Rowan with Vi's daughter Hollie!? The way this man fell for her daughter had ME falling in love. I also loved every second of their connection with Vi's brother and how he was a part of their story!
