This book was amazingly laid out and edited. It was succinct and persuasive. It was also quite amusing at points. I will definitely read this again.

Good primer of the tenants and history of contemporary socialism. It's full of beautiful art, neat design, and great recommendations for further reading.
Unfortunately, the narrow width of the book's shape makes my giant grotesque hands hurt.

A thoughtful rendered and admirably snappy little piece of propoganda. I appreciated attention paid in most chapters to imagining socialist futures, alongside sharp and compelling critiques of capitalism.

Good collection of short essays on basic socialist subjects, but offering original and interesting points. However, it has a clear USA-centric point of view (that was to be expected, since it was edited by Jacobin) and sometimes presents the view of a minority of socialists as "what socialists think". I would recommend it, nevertheless.

A really good introduction to socialism. The book was concise, answered a lot of questions, challenged several myths, and did it without becoming too academic or too boring. A good read for anyone who is wondering about exactly what socialism is.
