For the third volume running, Thomas Gloom has put a stellar foursome of stories with horror and heart. Among the blood, dread and fear is plenty to hook any fans of all things creepy.

This time around Gloom offers a cracking smorgasbord of scares - vampires in Blood Donor, dangerous substances in New Street Drug, supersized crustaceans in Blue Death, and folk horror in Legend Has It.

All of the stories here are solid, and all leave you wanting more - never a bad thing. My personal favourite was Blue Death, as it felt like quintessential Gloom; a father and son slowly repairing their fractured relationship only to be interrupted by a giant, murderous crab. Horror and heart, fighting for their lives together on a blood-soaked beach…lovely stuff.
