Huge fan of Grisham so while I don’t think we needed a sequel to the firm, once I heard it was coming, I knew this would be a must read for me. And I am so glad I did! Grisham had me hooked from the very first page and didn’t let up until the very end. Mitch and Abby Mcdeere are great characters and it was great to spend more time with them. And the plot felt very timely. Proof that all these years later, Grisham still knows how to craft a winner. That’s why he remains one of our best.
Mitch might need to start researching the law firms he chooses because he is 2 for 2 for insanity.
The Firm is BACK! It ranks as one of my favorite books of all time; I’ve read it approximately 20 times, give or take, and I still read my original copy, a mass market paperback purchased in 1992. It’s traveled everywhere with me since then, and anyone who knows me knows that I’ve lived in many places over the past quarter century.
My question for Mr. Grisham is this: Will we see Mitch and Abby again… on the big screen?
Even better would be the original actors. I know, I am a big dreamer!

I can usually count on Johnny G to provide that edge-of-your-seat, legal fast-lane kinda literature. This one was surprisingly boring and not at all as engaging as his usual.
SPOILER ALERT: Guy is a lawyer. One of the associates gets kidnapped. They gather up almost all of the random. The bad guys agree to a reduced ransom. The associate is released. The end.
Literally that was it. No double crossing, no complex explanation about why, no background character coming out of the woodwork to add an additional hurdle to overcome.

While it was a decent book, I felt it was a bit too slow with too many unimportant characters named. I have a lot of unanswered questions after reading this and felt the story wasn't finished.

This book was very much a new novel with familiar names, less so a sequel. Nonetheless, I very much enjoyed the read and found myself picking it up whenever I had free time. Not my favorite Grisham book, but very much so worth the read!

Interesting set-up, but the story was surprisingly boring and monotonous.
