A whole book of nothing - just tedious page flipping to get to the end and still learn nothing. No explainer for why or who- just boring nonsense. I pre-ordered this nearly a year in advance, absolutely goofy

Worldwide Rollercoaster

It was nice to find out whatever happened to the McDeere’s. This novel did not disappoint. From NY to Europe to Africa to the Caribbean, I hope you have your reading passports ready. It’s a page turner.

I liked getting an update from the Firm's Mitch and Abby. Story was thin and a bit boring and I didn't like the ending..

I felt this book needed more drama. I was going to DNF this book around chapter 5 but around chapter 10 it was a little interesting but after it got super boring.

This was so boring & wayyyy too long. I slogged thru it hoping it would get better. The female characters were one dimensional & cliched. As a long time Grisham reader, I expected better.

Just not engaging. I didn’t care for the characters nor did I feel invested in the outcome. I just didn’t find this worth the time at all.

Edit: I wanted to add more and be more clear on my review. This just wasn't that good. Mitch and Abby are doing just fine (more than fine). After he went down to Memphis and talked to the other lawyer about the innocence project type case I was in and thought that was they way we were going. Instead it took a left turn and kept going. Maybe that tidbit about Memphis is a forshadowing of what may come, if not it sure was a chapter that moves the story nowhere. Fingers crossed we can get a good legal thriller from Mr. Grisham again.

I loved The Firm when it came out (like a lot of people). I am less a fan of John Grisham these days. Except for Sooley, I find his work a little formulaic and a little boring. Meh.
