I rarely DNF books, as I appreciate the effort the author makes to get it written. But ... this was phoned in by Grisham. No character development, preposterous plot.
Not as great as The Firm, pretty predictable, but it was nice to catch up with Mitch and see what he’s doing now.
I would give this 3 1/2 stars if good reads had 1/2 stars. My main quibble is that the return of Mitch and Abby Mcdeere from The Firm isn’t as satisfying as it could have been. Was hoping for more in terms of their story arc. Grisham is still good though

This was better than the original. I listed to it and John grisham is still long winded but it was easier to tune out the extra shit.
