Karlson er ganske ufordragelig, selv om han til tider også er litt morsom med sine påfunn (f.eks. når han og Lillebror sniker seg inn unde teppet for å spionere på Bitten og kjæresten). Men mest er han frekk og ufordragelig.

I loved This book when i was younger, but now when i read it again, I thought that Karlson was really annoying and just lying. He would always say "you're such a greedy boy" and the say that he needed some cake too but really he had eaten the whole cake. Also Smidge was a bit annoying too. But i gave it a star more because i used to love it.
