No cats. Effie is certainly a manic pixie dream earl. Fun story, certainly not true to the time period, but still a fluffy read. I think I liked Earls Trip better though.

I was absolutely delighted by Earls Trip and excited for this sequel. The setup in the previous book was immensely intriguing, and Edward was one of my favorite characters from the start.

My expectations were sky high and I was not remotely disappointed. I spent most of my time reading tearing up, or smiling, or both. I came into this book fond of Edward, and I only loved him more with every guileless and open-hearted moment. I applaud Jenny Holiday for making so many unconventional choices for this romance and these characters, and also making them completely satisfying and cohesive.

I'm truly glad this series exists. I wish I could fold myself into the pages of this book to feel as joyous and inspired every day as I was while reading it.
