I am a huge Ann Cleeves fan, and an even bigger 'Vera' fan. Long live Brenda Blethyn. 'The Rising Tide' didn't disappoint. As usual, this 'Vera' story is an easy, intelligent read. It's a gripping, well-paced story. Full of great characters, a great plot and with some very sad parts to this story. I couldn't put it downangelfireeast24's review against another edition
