Interesting collection of stories in this setting that I already loved and I enjoyed the author's notes for each of them!

If you've read Yoon Ha Lee's Machineries of Empire trilogy, you simply MUST read this!!! It's SO GOOD! It's about half flash fiction about the main characters' (Cheris + Jedao) childhoods and young adulthoods, a third a follow-up novella to the trilogy that I absolutely loved and found immensely satisfying, and the remaining some longer short stories with different characters set in the same universe. I just love the central characters of this series, and find this universe immensely captivating in all its horror + cool math/physics + sentient little robots + giant space moths. Reading this about a year after the original trilogy felt, in a way, like returning home. :")
Graphic: Body horror, Death, Gore, Gun violence, and Vomit
Moderate: Suicide
Minor: Cannibalism and Rape
