The disappointment with this one almost hurts. Like a lot of other reviewers, my biggest issue with this volume was how much everything seemed to jump around. A lot of things were happening and I didn’t feel like I had enough context to understand it all, so I was left scratching my head a lot, trying to make sense of it. For at least half the book I couldn't even figure out what the story was about. It just felt...rushed. And disjointed, like it was missing something most of the time. Things did come together at the end, but I wasn’t all that invested, unfortunately. I didn’t really care about what was happening with or what was going to happen with the witch they were after, and the revenge plot did nothing for me.

Something else that bothered me was all the infighting amongst the trio. Of course it's natural for people to feel like a third wheel, and for friends to bicker and fight. But it was kind of tiring, after a while. Because a lot of what they were fighting about didn't even feel like it was in character. At least based on the last book. So many things just seemed to come out of...left field.

I really wanted to like this one more, because I was so pleasantly surprised by the first one. I think if it had been fleshed out a little more, with a bit less drama between the girls, it would have been a lot more enjoyable. It was still a quick read, and the book was absolutely stunning. It has a gorgeous art style going for it. But that might be its only selling point for me, and why I gave it a three star rating. It certainly isn't bad. I've read far worse. And I like our main trio enough that it was at least slightly entertaining. But there was an expectation set by the previous volume that this one simply didn't live up to. I don't plan on adding a physical volume to my collection.

Just as good as the first volume- beautiful art, witchcraft is spot on, social justice themes present, and a compelling story that leaves you wanting vol. 3!!

Love a nomadic, witchy girl gang! I'm so sad that there aren't any more volumes of this series, I was looking forward to seeing Andy's character development in potential future issues. Maybe one day...

Okay this was delightful! I love the growth in the friendship between all three girls. They are all working through things from the first volume and it was nice to see the continuation of the story. I really enjoyed all three of these characters and their friendship!
