I probably should have researched a little harder so I could read Alexandria’s books in order even though it’s not necessary. With that said, her later books are much better. It felt like something was missing with this story. I enjoyed it, but there was more depth that could’ve been added. Mari’s version of Ryan’s accent was awful. Sean’s wasn’t the best, but was a more convincing Louisiana Creole than Mari. Ready for book 2 now.

First of all, the audiobook version butchered Ryan’s accent…It sounds African or Jamaican….but he’s from Louisiana?

Omg
Ryan was a breathe of fresh air for Angela. Im just happy for them and how everything turned out. The author is awesome.

I am on my Alexandria House journey and am trying to go in the suggested order from her website. I listen on audio and I really struggled with the previous Love After series. That featured 3 friends which is similar to this series which features 3 sisters.
While that series was spicy and the men were top tier, the women just weren't it for me. However, having read Alexandria's newer stories and LOVING every single FMC felt like I needed to get out my own head and dive in.
I am so glad I did. The Strickland sisters are likable and fun. Angela was relatable in so many ways. Listening to the previous series I had thought maybe it was the narrator that was the issue, but this series has the SAME female narrator, and she was fantastic.
I loved Ryan's inner dialogue and his growth from fk boy to boyfriend. I'm super excited for the next book as Renee really stood out in this book and I am ready to see her heal and have all the good things.
