This is like a 3.5. I listened to the audiobook and the accents were not it for me AND I wanted more info about Ryan's family.
Would have been a 4 but then the ending threw me off. How do you show up at my door after quitting your job and just decide you’re my business partner now?? i think tf not
Awesomeness
Ryan and Angie had a great love story. Both characters were strong and positive people. They meshed well and had many kings in common. Which made the story flow smoothly. Great story by this author

I thought Angela was cool, Ryan on the other hand...not so much! An okay read.
I don't recommend the audiobook for this one. Ryan's narrator tried an accent and it didn't go well. Try the ebook version instead.

3.75 stars. The story was good, narration not so much
I really enjoyed this story but Sean Crisden’s attempt at a Creole accent was a bad West Indian sound that wasn’t even consistent. It irked me and interrupted the flow for me.
Besides that, I really enjoyed the characters Angela and Ryan. I found Angela’s family dynamics to be fascinating because it affected all 3 girls and their choices in their romantic life. Of the Strickland sisters, I definitely feel that Angie was the more level headed one and made the best decisions in regards to men. I enjoyed how the journey to love made her and Ryan better business people too.
The romance was already there, the heat and chemistry was jumping off the page but it was how it gave them the insight in their careers that made this story a strong one for me.
I want to see how the other Strickland sisters heal their childhood traumas too. What a fascinating look at how fathers shape their daughters.

Why?!? Things are happening but nothing reads as authentic or even remotely cohesive. I did not like this.... and I'm sad.
I am not sure how I missed it, but I do have a bias where a hero/heroine are vloggers or influencers. I fully admit it is my own personal 'hey kids get off my lawn' thing because I am an old. So in that sense I had some skepticism. I am like it when a book make me kick my bias to the side. This one doesn't exactly do that, but it was still a nice read.
The hero was purely sexy. The heroine I feel like I could be friends with. There were some fun moments and I loved the family dynamics with Angie (the heroine) and her family. I will say that I thought the chemistry was a bit uneven and the story a lulled a little in places. But it was still a nice read.
I haven't read as much from this author as I would like, but I plan to rectify this. I like her style.
