This is Book 3 in Neal Asher's Agent Cormac series. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Contains two different story lines that converge in the middle. The one set on the planet with the Knight etc could have been it's own novel.

3.5 to be accurate. Lots of imaginative stuff and some good characters, but I found I had to slog through it, and I kept losing the narrative thread.

A good solid book, with a surprisingly sympathetic portrayal of a psychotic serial killer super powered android.

The Polity series may get me through my Iain M. Banks mourning period.

Huge improvement on the previous books in the series and it feels like the Polity Universe is finally getting going in the proper direction.

It still establishes interesting fauna, but it reduces the diatribe about it which is good.

Mr. Crane was an absolute pleasure to meet again.

This really feels like an interstellar adventure to the edges of the map containing a simple warning: Here they be dragons.

Continuing the Polity space saga with Ian Cormac, legendary Earth Central Security agent, is still hunting dragons...well, at least one of them in this absolutely stunning tale.

Meanwhile, crazed on Jain tech biophysicist, Skellor is also seeking Dragon and to help him do that, he's recruited a psychotic android called Mr. Crane...the "Brass Man" of the title.

But Mr. Crane has deeper issues and is looking for a way to escape the blood and death, probably involving a lot of blood and death along the way.

When the dragon sphere is located, they're all on a collision course that will set worlds alight.

Another Polity book by Asher. A sequel of sorts to two previous Asher books, only one of which I’ve read. Features Polity super agent Ian Cormac, running around trying to save the Polity from some nastiness. Again, lots of action and violence. If you like SF, check out some of Asher’s books.

A brilliant read that hits all the right spots. Highly recommended for someone looking for science fiction filled with action, horrible creatures and an extremely fast pace.
