A pesar de que he estado mes y medio leyéndolo porque como en la vida, en este libro en el mejor sentido de la palabra no pasa nada más allá que la propia vida y me costaba avanzar. Sin embargo me ha encantado, me he encariñado muchísimo de los personajes y tengo claro que seguiré leyendo a Natalia Ginzburg.

This book was just delightful, very meandering and interesting and had a lot of delightful people being sweet and kind and nice things happening but also some sad because of the war. But all in all just made me feel kind of warm and fuzzy and nicely distracted.

I loved the portrait aspect of All Our Yesterdays - the rambling descriptions of everyday mediocrity that makes up life.
I wish there had been more telling communication between the characters, a sense of understanding of each other. That said, the characters grow up and together and away from each other in a way that is very touching. The book does showcase that well, and the fleeting nature of all of these things set against the backdrop of fascist Italy works great.
