It's 1am and I was going to wait until tomorrow to write this until I realised my laptop was still on so why not write it now?

I have to start by saying that I didn't enjoy this as much as the first book and I think that's because this was darker in tone and the friendships were being tested throughout. I liked that we got to look into Ronan more as a character because (like many) I found his character very interesting in the first book. I am also glad we got to see the impact the deal with Cabeswater had on Adam at first in a slow way but increasing as the book continued rather than all at once. It felt a lot more natural this way.

Can't wait to start the next one and I need to get my hands on the raven king soon, I'm going through these way too fast. It's been a while since a series has hooked me like this.

Definitely a lively follow-up to The Raven Boys. And Will Patton has really grown on me as a narrator.

These books are really good at making the last sentence that makes me want to start the next book immediately
