I loved the focus on Ronan and Adam in this book, I really love both of their character arcs and I think this one had such an interesting insight into both of them!!

Adam dealing with his 'sacrifice' and new powers & finally learning how to use them to help his friends (the "he would not be Cabeswater, he would be Adam Parrish" line really got me) was so amazing to see, I really love him so much <3

Ronan's storyline was interesting too, the whole thing with Kavinsky was such an interesting dynamic, I'm (almost) sad that Kavinsky was only a big player in this book. But Ronan getting more control over his abilities was also really cool to see :)

And both of their journeys culminating in "Ronan's second secret was Adam Parrish"... yeah I can tell I'm going to be obsessed with them forever

Bluesey development too!! They definitely took a backseat in this book but the moment near the end where they were pretending to kiss (but not really) got me so eeeeee I love them <3

Overall just a really good storyline & great character arcs, can't wait to see where this goes next :D

The scene where Blue and Noah

talk about her curse and then kiss

made me so emotional 😭😭😭😭 how sweet! How sad!!!
Also I did not expect

Ronan being canonically queer. I mean I saw the signs but it was 2013! That was before queer characters were common in mainstream media...

Super cool.
I liked Ronan's and Adam's arcs a lot. The book had a great spooky sad atmosphere.

I wish these books had more important and varied female characters... Blue has no female friends... I like the psychics but they don't feel that important or three-dimensional.
