Another amazing book by Fae Quin! I loved Alex and George so much. They had such chemistry together and complemented each other so well.

This book touches on a lot of hard subjects and we see how the characters are impacted by relationships and events from their past. The author manages to have these deep plot lines, while never bringing the tone of the book down.

I loved all of the side characters as well. June and Roderick were another amazing couple and I would love to see a story of how they got together. Joe was probably my favourite though, outside of the main couple. I can’t wait to read his story!

Two idiots taking way too long to admit they have fallen for each other. I loved their meet cute and meddling families. The book was a tad too long for my taste.

Thank you for the book, here is my honest opinion:
3.5⭐️I appreciated the humor in the author’s writing and I liked the two main characters.  They have a fun first meeting at the airport and right off you can see how different Alex and George are from each other.  I also enjoyed the author fun sense of humor which keeps this from being too serious.  I will say, this was way too long for me, with so many monotonous inner monologues.  That unfortunately made a bit of an effort to get through for me.

I loved this story when it was a newsletter serial and was very excited when Fae announced it would be a full length book!

George and Alex are adorable, snarky, "I have walls up and don't you climb them... but dear god, please try to climb them" energy and together it's just such fun chemistry! Fae is the queen of finding a way to express a heart wrenching emotion -- real punch in the gut stuff -- and then turning around and making you laugh your butt off! IE George and Alex's dild0 meet cute at the airport disaster? Viscerally awkward AND laugh out loud funny!

This book is a beast! At almost 600 pages?! But it is like chips... once you pop, you cannot stop. I just wanted to ignore ALL other tasks and spend time with these two.

If you're new to Fae's work Cloudy is a great place to start as it's contemporary & a pure standalone. (although rumor has it we will be getting books for some of Cloudy's side characters!)

Thank you GRR for the arc!!

This is my third Fae book, and I'm consistently impressed with how quickly I devour them.
Seriously, what do they put in their books?! I'm seriously kicking my feet and on the verge of crying bc it's like cuteness overload lol

It's the perfect summer read, given the setting mainly taking place at a camping site.

Especially considering how this chonker of a book is a whopping 634 pages and it did not feel that long.
Also the size felt especially fitting with George, the size queen.

This book has so much going for it, a humorous meet-cute, a pen stabbing, apology pickles, scheming matchmaking family members, banter, caretaking and adorable nicknames! There's also quite a bit of kink and kink awakening. 👀

Alex and George are so adorably perfect together, and they have INSANE chemistry. They're like magnetized towards each other and they're the only ones who don't see it lol

They are both flawed, but acknowledge that they've been hurt and want to work on it together. They also both want to be dads to an army of children so badly. But they also are so used to putting everyone else first and don't believe they deserve nice things. 😭

I love that Fae's books always have a variety of characters, but they're all free of harmful stereotypes and the only characters that are bad are not directly involved in the story.

George and Alex are nearly opposites in every way, but they merge together perfectly. It was so sweet to see logical, and autistic-coded George, the grump get swept off his feet and discover that love isn't logical. That loving someone is never a chore, but a privilege!

Alex, poor, sweet, walled off Alex was also perfect. Never letting anyone get close to you to see your possible flaws or think that you're "too much" for someone is something a lot of people relate to (myself included).
I loved seeing him learn that it's okay to let someone in, to lower your walls, or masks, and finding *your* person who just gets you.

Honestly, this couple is probably one of my favorites, and I love their dynamic. If there was a sequel, I'd totally read it lol
Please make a sequel!!

🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
Fae Quin once again proves why she's one of my favourite authors! This story was so beautiful and felt so real. George and Arthur are 2 people-pleasing perfectionists, each with their own baggage, different yet the same. Each touch-/love-starved, thinking they're never enough and always too much. But when they find each other... 🎆🎆🎆
It had been a while since a book made me cry, but this one did it. Because it felt so raw and real, I kept reading till late at night to make sure I left those boys happy 😭
Painful emotions aside, let me talk to you about the spice. Because holy mother of Jesus, that was HOT. 🥵 It takes a while (almost 50%) but when it's there, it's THERE. Alex quickly made it to the top 5 filthiest book boyfriends.
Soooo, yeah, read this book NOW. And then read all of Fae's other books because she's the bestest. 🤌🏻
