I just reread this and realized I never left a review the first time đ± - this was such a great ending to the epic Whispering Sea Duet My love for the characters and their personalities though is leaving me craving more! Maybe we will get lucky and Madeleine will release a novella for a very anticipated mated pair!

One of the most fun books I have ever read in my life. This book does something that most duologies fail at, it keeps the allure and entrigue of the first book alive.
I was THRILLED to learn that we pick up almost exactly where the first book leaves off in time. (I'm really not a fan of time jumps. (I want to seeeee the journey)). And MAN does it dive in. Getting immersed in Caspian's world was so fun and such a change of pace from the first book. Something else I think this series does VERY well is not telling you how to fell. Marina is presented with facts and given Every Single opportunity to decide for herself how to feel (in more ways than one) and honestly, its really refreshing. Especially in books where romance is a strong plot line, I feel like MCs will bend any level of truth to stay interested and giving her this much choice just felt SO good.
The smut was smutty and tasteful and made me gasp out loud a couple times. The imagery was gorgeous and this duology really cemented my love of Madeleine Eliot's books. I fear you may have a reader for life ma'am.

Caspian and Marina will forever have my heart, along with all of the side characters! I want novellas of all of them because I love them so much. Madeleine also does not disappoint with the banter at all, not just between our MCs, but also the side characters, especially Ran who is for sure a fav.
As Marina and Caspian race to unite their peoples and find peace, their relationship grows so beautifully. Caspian doesnât hold Marina back, only encourages her choices, and itâs just what she needs. Marina isnât afraid to tell Cas when he needs to think something through further and always backs him up. They just work so well together and seeing their adventures together was amazing!
If youâre looking for a romantasy that has some cozy vibes as well as action, humor, and some spice, look no further. This series had the perfect mix of light and dark, different tropes like touch her and die, and other amazing romantasy elements! Everything has a fresh twist though that makes this series impossible to set down. I highly recommend giving this duology a read and checking out Elliotâs other stories!
