This book was good!! Since it followed a few different storylines, sometimes I got the characters mixed up and had a hard time keeping them straight in my head- but I love the underlying messages, meaning and characters. For anyone who enjoys historical fiction I would highly recommend this series!!

this series is so so so good

I can't remember the last time I read a tale so richly told, a fiction so nourishing to the soul - inspiring. The story really digs deep, it plants itself inside of you. I can only commend Francine Rivers... she is an extremely gifted storyweaver.

Enjoyed the story woven from generation to generation so very much. Enjoyed the historical fiction aspect of the story too.

Francine Rivers' stories are always amazing and they always make me emotional. I do wish that she had divided the story into 3 books instead of just two. Carolyn's and Dawn's stories felt so rushed, though someone Rivers still managed to make me feel like I knew them well.
