can't wait until November for the next book

I actually tossed it across the room at about page 4...it was fine overall but I would really love for them to simply write one long detailed book and wrap this up

When I first started reading this series, I wasn't very impressed. I thought it was too full of pop culture references and that it wouldn't have much staying power. I kept with the story because the general premise was interesting to me, even if I felt the writing wasn't that great. I do enjoy young adult novels, and I'll read anything, so I just went with it.

I have been pleasantly surprised with the 7th and now the 8th installment in this series. It seems to me as if the authors are finally finding their voice. The characters are better, even if the pop culture references haven't decreased. The story line is becoming more complex and interesting, although some of the plot choices didn't seem to jive with what I thought particular characters would do. Anyway, I'm enjoying the series more and am for the first time anxious to see what happens next.

Better than previous in plot but worse because too many POV switches

Better than the last, but still nowhere near the beginning of the series. The Casts need to stop inventing convoluted new mythologies in each book and try to focus on what they already have.

I can't even find it within myself to waste my time reviewing this. Hate-reading it is enough. Once again, referring to my favorite reviewer of this series, because they get it right: http://www.fangsforthefantasy.com/2016/01/awakened-house-of-night-8-by-pc-cast.html

This series has more twists and turns than a road course track in NASCAR. Time to start the next book.

listened to a youtuber read and review this.

LOVE.

Zoey is back from the otherworld and adjusting to a life without Heath. She has found sanctuary on the Isle of Skye, but Neferet is creating more problems back home. Finally, she has to go back to Tulsa and try to figure out what new evil Neferet is working on and how to not only stop her, but out her to the rest of the vampires.
Awakened took me on a journey of secrets, forgiveness, evil, death, and love. It was a very enjoyable book and I felt connected to Zoey as she tried to recover through all that has happened to her. Great read!
