When the can was heaped with crumpled paper, he dropped the leather cover...on top and kicked the can under his desk. She never even noticed it was missing, and somehow this hurt him most of all.
Pretty good but I wanted it to be better :(

I raced through this book. It was so compelling! I loved the various characters and how Celeste Ng gave readers insight into all of their experiences. Ng tackles a lot in this novel: class, privilege, race, motherhood, teen angst, adoption, abortion...and does it with such grace and dexterity. Now I’m off to watch the new Hulu series!
