In his Inuit village, Tigluk noticed that there was a polar bear, Nanuq. While the other villagers dashed off, Tigluk sought to follow. Armed with the needed tools and a determined grandmother, Tigluk began his trek to find Nanuq, soon realising that the ice floes on which many of the bears took their rest were gone, as the warmer temperatures had surely melted them. While Nanuq was gone, a present awaited Tigluk. Neo liked that there were bears in the story, though he could not understand where Nanuq might have gone and why she did not just swim in the water.
