`A Merry Navidad` is a collection of four different novellas by four different authors. Recipes are included at the end of each story which is a bonus. I appreciate that there is also a dictionary for Latino words the reader may not be familiar with.

La Familia Es ToDo (Kathi Macias) In this story the reader learns family is important to God.

Navidad and Familia (Allison K Garcia) A family learns the true meaning of Christmas as they work together during a blizzard.

A Tamale Christmas (Linda K Rodante) Jessica Saltare is a single mom attending a Christian college. Emmanuel Rodriguez is an attractive, nice, single Latino who attends the same college. I was pleased to see that this story also features the Biblical account of the true Christmas story.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Cocoa (Cynthia Marcano) A love story.

I found it interesting to learn that Hispanic is about the language and Latino is about the geographic region. People from Spain are Hispanic because they speak Spanish, they are not Latino’s because they are not from Latin America.

Each of these novellas had one prevailing theme which was Christmas. That makes this a perfect gift for yourself and a friend at Christmas. It comes on Kindle, so you could order it and begin reading today.

In La Familia Es Todo, the theme of family is very strong. I loved seeing how they came together over tamales (my stomach growled while reading). In fact, I can’t wait to go home (Texas) for Christmas and have some now. 🙂

In Navidad & Familia, Allison K. Garcia gets to the importance of Christmas and why we believers celebrate it. I loved it and it gave me food for thought (no pun intended).

Linda K. Rodante’s A Tamale Christmas might have been my favorite in the collection. There was a lot to think about and the romance sprinkled in was sweet to watch unfold. Again, I want tamales.

Last but not least, Cynthia Marcano’s Have Yourself A Merry Little Cocoa was as delightful as a cup of hot cooca. I loved the romance in it but more importantly I loved how the two had to trust in God to see them through.

All in all, A Merry Navidad is a collection you don’t want to miss.
