This story definitely took me on a ride! The monster & Nix’s love story is bitter sweet and the ending made me that much happier! I hope LJ will do a ending book for all the Boston Belle’s and show us their lives 5 years later!

2.5 stars this was another one of my most anticipated reads and it did not fail. i was always intrigued by sam's character while reading the villain so i wanted his book immediately. he is so sexy at times i love him. the only downfall i can think of is how he always referred to himself as the monster.. that got old quick. and another thing that really annoyed me is how he would take ash at any time no matter what she said or did but then suddenly he wouldn't do anything without her consent? and don't get me started on how embarrassing it was reading about her throwing herself at him ... anyway i think the plot itself was fine and intriguing enough to finish this book in like....? 5 hours? but i did definitely enjoy cillianpersy more than them :( but i prefer sam over kill. this is kind of all over the place but it is a solid read and i would probably rr!

forget everything this review said i've actually decided this is one of the worst books i've read this year lol. ^^ i wrote most of that when i was like half done and didn't absolutely despise the book but thinking back it was terrible. his character "development" was just not it and aisling is hella embarrassing. this is why i'm sticking to cillianpersy sorry no other lj book serves like them.. lj please for the love of god never write mafia romance this was bad

1.5 *
Its the same formula for this author books over and over again with some trauma sprinkled in for shock value.

-None of the troops we thought we would get were In this. (No grumpy/sunshine, no mafia (2 scenes?). Idk what troop this would qualify as)
-Sam was probably one of the most boring 'mafia' characters. There has been build up of him being 'king of the underworld', but he ran a nightclub where sexist men gambled.

I love a good second chance. Two people pining after each other for years and years, sign me TF up. Shen does a great job with unrequited love and tension between characters. I’ve had a lot of fun making my way through the Boston Belles series so far! Aisling has had it for Sam bad, and for years. She’s done everything she can to open the door, but Sam just keeps shutting her down. He’s Boston’s Enforcer, so he’s dangerous and mean and doesn’t care about anyone. He doesn’t allow himself to.

Sam has a dangerous job, there are mafia men always looking for him to settle some score. He’s kept everyone close to him at arm’s length; he doesn’t allow anyone to his apartment, he doesn’t date anyone long term, and he shuts off his emotions when it comes to one woman he won’t allow himself to ruin. He won’t allow anyone to get in between his money and if he makes a move on Aisling, he sacrifices his job. Finally, after years of trying, Aisling finally has Sam’s attention.

Aisling ha sido una grata sorpresa

Did I enjoy this book? Totally! It’s my least favourite in the series this far though. There is a looooooottttt of toxic stuff going on here, lol. I know they all do but this one felt a little extra to me. I listened on audible and the narrators were awesome, Savanna Peachwood and Jacob Morgan, so good.
