Really enjoyed this, and had no issue really getting into it. Lots of detailed descriptions while the writing remained emotionally detached was actually a very good way to read it. In the foreword from 2000, Harris mentions that when he was writing these books he didn't know what was going to happen, it felt like he was watching everything happen to Will Graham. I definitely got that impression while reading, and really liked the feeling that lent to the book.

My brother and I immensely enjoyed Hannibal tv show and he recommended me to read this book to get an idea. Remembering scenes from shows helps me with reading this book and it was okay for me even though it is nice to see Will Graham again.
