Since Hannibal is such a huge name in horror, I was surprised to find out that he's merely a side character in the book. Also, the pacing is odd. There's a fake resolution, followed by a rushed 4-page infodump to wrap it all up with a bow, and I was still left confused.

I'm sure this would be a fantastic read for someone who enjoys a murder mystery book, but I got into it thinking it would be pure horror, and I don't necessarily feel like I got that.

This is my least favorite movie in the series so I had a feeling it would be my least favorite book. The book and movie matched up exactly up until the ending. I think they changed it so the movie could have somewhat of a happy ending which is not in the book. Still good though and had me on my toes even though I already knew what happened
