Loved a lot of his games growing up, so it was a no brainer to read this book. His stories were very entertaining and overall I enjoyed this as much as most memoirs.

Fun, light and insightful. Sid Meier is shockingly humble and funny. He's an absolute legend and learning about the early days of computer games when he essentially invented two extremely popular genres(management tycoon / 4X games) was a treat.

I would've enjoyed this book going a bit more in the weeds on some of the programming and game design elements. Every time he talked specifically about a game design problem, like figuring out how to rate golf courses in SimGolf, I found it extremely interest. I just wish there was more of that.

Saw this mentioned on hackernews and listened to the whole audiobook. I was never a huge fan of the games but played them a bit and hearing his story was really nice. One of the main takeaways for me is that mixing disciplines can lead so being really great at one of them. Also the author gives a very wholesome example of how to exist in the world without becoming the evil rich guy.
