Where most in the bully romance category make you feel like you’ve seen it all before, just a few pages in, a girl’s skirt is set on fire, I knew this was going to be something that would keep me interested.
What would happen if you had to marry your bully? Probably something along the lines of what happens for Beth & Maverick.
Pros: growth in both characters, positive behaviors reinforced, a strong willed heroine, a broken bad boy.
Cons: still had a few questions when it was all over, the timeline was a little bit muddled(in the sense that there are some parts where they refer to one another as fiancé, even though previously it was stated that they were already married), lack of a really strong grovel from the hero. He SET HER SKIRT ON FIRE. And I’m fairly certain that he might have apologized once, but honestly, it was weak, and doesn’t stand out.
Overall, I enjoyed the drama, the tension, the plot.

At first I was convinced that there was no redeeming Maverick, that is until about 33% then he started to creep into my heart . This was a very solid book.

I love how you can start off hating a character but then loving them by the end. Maverick is such a great bully character.

this one is full of emotions and wheww it definitely made me want to gut punch Maverick a few times!
there is a lot of drama and angst in this one so if you love angsty bully romances then you definitely need to read this bad boy!
i love Savannah and Amelia's writing and i can't wait to read more of their work!

I was actually alright.
The hero was so full of himself, especially at the beginning, that it was somewhat amusing. It was only better when he was proved wrong, or things didn't turn out as he expected.
The only thing is that I wish there was actually more comedy/humour, but I guess that's not what I signed up for.

Three stars for the heroine but if it weren’t for her having a semi backbone it would’ve been a 2 star (the main guy was meh at best).
