I already did read this series five years ago. This time I couldn't get trough this book though. I just couldn't get myself to care about an ex that much and didn't comprehend the big impact on Simon and Declan before anything even happened.

Liked this sequel to Tigers and Devils. It was interesting to see the author shake up the main characters and give us a more complete view of them. However, if you read the previous book (highly recommended), you will still recognize the Simon and Dec.

Another great story about Simon and Dec. i love these sort of mini epics that drag you right into the characters.
I'd probably give a 4.75 if I had chance, possibly because its a second book and partially because I wanted to give Simon a shake at times.
Simon and Dec's world has moved on 5 years (I think). I liked that not all had gone well for all the characters. The outing of another AFL player turns their world up side down, though I do think they gave him too much power by over reacting? but thats the story!
Again, for major sex scene lovers there is nothing for you but the story is grand!

12.7.15 - reread, still all the dramas, still a great story, of people and their foibles. A favourite set of stories.

I'm just so glad I finally took the time to read this book! I just love these two guys.

Like in the first book, there is a mixture of light and dark. The relationship is well established, but like all couples, hurdles pop up along the way. And how they deal with these hurdles is what it is all about.

I'm actually really sad to let these two go. I wish I could be a part of Simon and Declan's life. I want to know more about their friends, their lives and what it has in store for them... That is the sign of a great book, in my opinion. One where the characters take on a life of their own, and start to feel like friends rather than pure fiction.

Declan is now a commentator for a well respected TV station while Simon works at a lesser known station that champions gay rights. Declan's ex, Greg decides to come out in a blaze of glory and with trumpets blaring and a tell-all book. But he is only telling his side of the story and its time-line and recollection of "facts" is all wrong. It puts Simon and Declan in a bad light, but Declan refuses to tell his side. This causes strain in their relationship and Simon doesn't know how to get Declan to open up. Jasper, the old nemesis from book one is also involved. We also see more of Roger and Fran and Simon's family.
I loved this book and instantly downloaded [b:Tigers on the Run|25719764|Tigers on the Run (Tigers and Devils, #3)|Sean Kennedy|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1434196312s/25719764.jpg|45554523] to savour later.

(English / Español)

-In a Nutshell: Simon and Declan are living their HEA until Greg aka THE ASSHOLE appears to cause problems. Don't worry Simon knows how to kick ass.

-MC: Simon (still sarcastic and expert in saying the wrong things at the wrong time) and Declan (sweet boy, but stupid boy)

-Plot: Simon and Declan are enjoying life, living their romance, riding in the distance on a sunset. But when Declan's ex boyfriend decides to announce to the world that he's gay, things become chaotic ... especially if we consider that this ex wants to write a book and have a few chapters on Declan (full of lies). Simon is going to have to endure being the center of attention of every media outlet AGAIN and try not to have a crisis... plus support Declan and stop Greg his villain plans.

-My opinion: Something I love about these two is how they take care of each other. It's a beautiful relationship that blooms beautifully with the years. Simon still has his dark humor, sarcasm and cynicism buuuuut even with that he always has in mind Declan's well-being. That's why when Greg starts telling lies about his past relationship with Declan, Simon can't help feeling bad ans very angry ... not because it affects his private life but because it affects Declan's reputation.

On the other hand, Declan prefers to avoid conflict and lets Greg do whatever he wants ... after all he knows the real truth of what really happened in the past. But when Greg's words begin to hurt Simon, Declan must make a decision: let everything go (as always) or defend Simon's honor. And that's the most beautiful: Declan is able to get out of his comfort zone just to help Simon and taking car of him. They are lovers, friends and family.

As always I DIED laughing with Simon's jokes. He's the best.

Maybe the gap from when I read the first book and this one is too long that I feel indifferent and am no longer interested in their story.

I think the thing I love most about Simon and Declan is how real they feel. They make mistakes, occasionally significant ones, and they sometimes argue and they let the small stuff get to them, but the love between Simon and Dec is clear and strong throughout. This series also has great secondary characters and it was fun to revisit them all.
