Don't let it worry you, not being able to speak,' Dustfinger had often told her. 'People tend not to listen anyway, right?'
This was the perfect time to re-read this.
It emersed me back into the world and characters that all felt so familiar to me, I love this series very much. It was so nice to feel all comfy getting lost in this world again, and I especially love that this includes the actual world described in book one.
Inkheart is still my favorite and the ending of this one does hurt me very much *cries* but it was still so nice to be reunited with these familiar characters in a time that is so full of uncertainty.

Overall fun and intriguing to the end, and this is definitely better than the first book plot-wise... that being said, most of the characters don't do anything for me. Some of them actually make me mad (Elinor and Fenoglio shut up challenge). Only Dustfinger and the world-building are sexy enough to keep this alive for me.
Also a signed copy with a drawing of Gwin, this time inscribed to my brother.

Hat mir nochmal besser gefallen als Band 1, die Welt ist einfach toll & die Charaktere sowieso
Not quite as enchanting as the first, but fun all the same. I think I prefer to be in the Inkworld rather than the real world - a sentiment expressed by most of the characters, too, it seems. :o) I'm excited to read Inkdeath and see the Adderhead get what's coming to him!
I enjoyed the second installment to the Inkworld series. I like that you see more of the Inkworld itself not just other people's / character's interpretations of it. If these books had been around when I was still a kid I would have been all over them obsessed, as an adult I enjoy them for different reasons but that doesn't make it any less of an amazing story. I will definitely finish this series.
As much as I love these books for nostalgia reasons, I can't get myself to finish them. DNF @ 200-ish pages.
