I remember liking this one even better than the first as a kid, and that still holds up. I'm honestly surprised I haven't reread this series sooner; I've reread Mirrorworld/Reckless and Dragon Rider at least twice through each.

The second book in the inkheart tragedy and I wasn't disappointed. I listened to this one, and although I wasn't thrilled that Brendan Fraser was the narrator, I was proven wrong almost immediately. Loved his narration. It was difficult to turn off my car everytime I got to work. Even after 19 hours, I still wanted more. Highly recommened the audiobook

I hate stars. I liked this book very much. It was a good and engaging read. My only complaint was that Funke, like her fictional Fenoglio, let her plot get away from her. Orpheus waited in the wings for too long. Elinor and Darius were also almost abandoned. Funke did bring it back together, and I am intrigued enough to read the 3rd book in the trilogy. I hope she lets the dead rest in peace.
