I put off reading this book for so long. I just wasn't ready to say goodbye to these characters... But man did I enjoy the ride!! Slate, Cadence, and the gang are back with more Quatrefoil shenanigans. No one is safe while they fight a different battle on every level of Brume. Level 2 was the absolute WORST! Ahhhh! I did love the ending they all got but I'm sad to see them go.

I liked this book better than the first one! Very good twists and turns. I also love all the characters!

Both authors have produced a very well built and thought of story plot. The mystery and web of controversy are sewn flawlessly.

From book one to two, I have enjoyed how this magical town takes its root in me. I love Cadence’s pure and loving heart, Adrien’s protective soul, Gaelle’s motherly care and love, and Slate’s broken yet faithful heart.

The chemistry between Cadence and Slate is electrifying. A touch seems to translate into more while reading it. That’s how good the romance has been set but, take note, doesn’t revolve majorly on romance.

So, I really love Slate. Super rooting for him. I love his broken and flawed character. His rough upbringing and experiences strengthens him and makes him guarded but he never loses his heart. It shows how he protects and loves Bastian. And I love how as the story progresses he opens and welcomes everything.

Listening to the first audiobook was such a treat, that I was immediately excited for the second book. I couldn't wait till it came out and was really happy to see it appear on Audible! I'm actually a bit confused at how little people have read the first book in this series, and I feel like these two authors deserve much, much more!

The Quatrefoil Chronicles is such a fun series of (for now) two books that are easy and quick to read. If you love those adventurous quest kind of fantasy books, this is definitely your cup of tea. I also love how these two authors could just easily blend their writing into something that feels so smooth!

Well this book took a turn that I definitely did not expect. Now, I will say the beginning of the story started exactly how I would have expected, especially with how book 1 ended. But it took a very surprising turn that I absolutely loved.

I loved the two main characters that this story revolves ar round. We get to know Slate & Cadence so much more in this book, these characters have really grown so much since the start of book 1 & I really enjoyed their development.

This book is definitely more YA then NA, so there is no steamy scenes, but even without this, the relationships in here are so well developed.

Finally, I had the pleasure to listen to this as an audiobook and I loved every minute of it. Both narrators did an amazing job bringing the story to life.
