I am unfamiliar with Shakespeare's original play, yet I still enjoyed it tremendously. The moment when Vi lets herself (finally!) be loved by Jack is so touching! Not ashamed to say I shed some tears. If you're familiar with the play, you'd probably like Olivie / Alexene's witty and heartfelt retelling even more.

I bought this book really hoping I was going to love it because I normally don’t buy books unless I have already read them and want to reread them, and this lived up to my expectations. It was kind of a slow start but once it got going I was giggling and kicking my feet. Viola is such a well done character, as are most of the characters in this novel. I LOVE when a romance has both point of views so this was amazing.
