I felt like there was no build up in the characters or in their relationship. A lot of things that would have done that happened off page and we are just told about how great they get along.

Honestly, I think it deserves 5 stars. [shrugs]
It was beautiful.

3.5 Stars rounded up because it's definitely better than a 3 star.

Had this been just a bit more fleshed out, I probably would have rated it even higher. The writing was good, the characters were likeable and real but some of the important "getting to know you" stuff was just glossed over.

novellas are always such a double edged sword for me...we get to the good stuff quickly but i'm always left wanting more of the story. i want to know what happens next for these 2! the story was well written and the characters were both extremely likeable.

luther had a lot of growing up to do at the start of the story and had to really take a good look at his life and what he wanted. he was a bit of a wild child, running from the truth. erik had a bad experience and wasn't hiding but didn't totally flaunt who he was either. he was more mature and settled in his life than luther and helped luther grow up and come to terms with what he wanted. they are adorable together once they are finally themselves together.

definitely a great read that leaves you wanting more of these 2!

New to me author. This is a short mm romance story told from Luther’s POV. I love guys who struggle for words and would rather use actions. I’ll read this author again.

So sweet. Poor Luther struggled with fear to be his true self and spent his time running from himself. He finally found his match in Erik. The two become close, but Luther is afraid to use words to say how he feels (for fear of running Erik off) and Erik is so focused on the lack of words that he misses the non-verbal ways that Luther says he cares. Slight misunderstandings lead to open minds and open hearts. I really enjoyed this.
