This was a diverse and darkly funny collection of short stories from Canada Reads author Lindsay Wong. Many of the stories had fantasy/paranormal elements (from ghosts to other elements), which I wasn't expecting but weirdly worked for me. I was impressed with the range of stories and the different types of characters and I think my favorite story was Noodley delight, featuring the ghost of a dead grandmother. Good on audio narrated by a full cast. Much thanks to Librofm for an ALC!

It's really gory and gross, with a flippant tone. Not my thing.

Read the first two stories which have some cool ideas in, the gross horror aspect is just not really my thing and I know that increases throughout the collection.

Imagine your sleep paralysis demons got together and tried to write a collection of bedtime stories.
This isn’t exactly that, but has the same vibes. A fascinating bundle of very dark twisted scenes.

Wong is undoubtedly talented and the imagery here is vivid but I couldn't connect with the voice and the stories I read felt underdeveloped while simultaneously being grossly overdelineated. There was no subtlety here and little depth. Just not for me but I suspect other readers will like this collection a great deal more.
