Wasn't super into it in the first half, but the second half really had me. My only main concern is the random and sudden vivid descriptions of suicide ideation and self-harm which were off-putting and honestly unnecessary.

This was a very fun read. The characters' struggles with homophobia, racism, ableism and sexism seem realistic, as does their resolution. I feel like the historical aspect was well researched. I could do without ever reading another reference to 'kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending pottery with gold', though.

De grand tour van Henry Montague is een grappig verhaal met geweldige personages

Ik heb enorm genoten van De grand tour van Henry Montague. Ik wist niet goed wat ik moest verwachten van dit boek. Ik hoopte op een grappig verhaal vol avontuur met een mooie romance en geweldige personages en dat is exact wat ik kreeg. Dit verhaal leest zo makkelijk en snel en ik had het in no time uit. Zeker een aanrader als je iets luchtigers wil lezen.
