Listened on audio. Entertaining, but not my favorite. I like the idea of doing this Greek God spin off. It's definitely pulled me in. But I don't think it's a work of art or anything. I'm interested in the story, but not invested... if that makes sense. The type of spice can be a little 'ick' for me.

The only other Katee Roberts book I've read before this one is 'Desperate Measures' - the first in the Disney-inspired Wicked Villains series, which I gave a 2.5 rating and which didn't tempt me to continue on with the series. I picked this one up thinking I'd give her one more shot with the first in another series, and boy am I glad I did!

I found everything about this book to be WORLDS more enticing than 'Desperate Measures'. The worldbuilding for Olympus feels more real, more lived in. Hades and Persephone were such an easy couple to fall in love with and root for. I find myself intrigued enough by the ties between and machinations of the other characters in this world that I do actually want to keep reading more of the series. And, of course, because it's Katee Roberts, the sex scenes are fantastic.

Looking forward to reading more of this series down the line and seeing if it lives up to its first installment!

this book i have to say was wow the plot i felt was rushed not saying it still was not good because it really was but i felt like you didn't get to know the characters fully the spice though holy shit immaculate so beyond good Katee does know how to write a spicy scene but i just felt like i said it was not rushed

The Hades/Persephone retelling ends with the characters' names. The plot was too predictable and at points cringe

Not exactly the most unique book out there. In my opinion it was written by a person who doesn’t exactly live the lifestyle this book is centered around. It had very generic DOM/SUB elements but otherwise was very bland. Very quick read, nothing to complain about the characters or the plot. Overall the book was just a good time-waster.
