The end kinda lost me a bit but for the most part this was a super entertaining read!

I usually love Katee Robert because her spicy scenes are spicy! But the writing of this book and the world building was so distracting. Are we in ancient Olympus? Are we in modern day? How does Hades have so much security and tapped phones? Also did not go into his true God of the underworld lore. I was expecting something much darker and more in line with Greek Gods. I feel like if we switched everyone to have modern names and said it was a battle between a president vs CEO it would’ve gone over better in my head lol.

I’m pretty meh about this one. For me, the smut was a bit too smutty and too far. Voyeurism, public sex, domination/submission. Anyone that gets excited by that would really like this book I think. It’s just not my style. I liked the storyline of Persephone becoming her own person, and the growth of her relationship with Hades, but it was all fairly contrived and forced. I honestly feel like if you removed a majority of the sex scenes, you’d realize the story is basically a short story that lacks any depth or full character development. My favorite character ended up being Hermes who is a pretty minor character in comparison. I kept reading because I wanted to see how the story would end up resolving, but the end was all very quick and felt like the author was like “well, better wrap this up.” It was just okay to me, but I can see how other people might love it.
