3 stars..

Okay the first half of this book I loved it kept me entertained and I loved the banter between Rhys and Parker. But I will say after awhile Parker started to annoy me with her talk about being environmentally friendly for everything! For example, one of the requirements for Rhys to date her was to make sure he recycled because if he didn't then it wouldn't be believable that they could be a couple. Also all of his modes of transportation were put in to question if they were enviornmentally friendly.. The one that really made me roll my eyes was (don't want to spoil what will happen later in the book, this isn't a big spoiler at all)
Spoiler when they had their company paintball tournament, her first question to her boss was if the paintballs were ecofriendly... I'm like girl, just shoot your annoying coworkers and get over it.
It just got old after awhile, I get that she was an environmentalist and her job was very green oriented with a green form of energy, but we didn't need it shoved down our throats!

I will say I wanted to punch the daylights out of Fairbanks, he was annoying and a weasel, I kept picturing him as the Duke of Weaselton... I mean Weselton (yes it is a Frozen reference, and if you didn't get it, do live under a rock?! How have you not seen that movie??). But sweet lantis he was a poop, but I thought he would do more villainous things at the end... I was a little let down with that, wanted something good to happen, but the overall conflict of the book was super super tame, it didn't feel like they had any real issues that you would normally read in a romance book. It is kinda like in the last book I read [b:Heart Strain|47088882|Heart Strain (Interlocking Fragments #1)|Michele Notaro|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1563296824l/47088882._SY75_.jpg|72124185], it felt like every conflict was resolved very fast without a deeper conversation to help get through it or it was pushed under the rug and it didn't matter anymore.

I do wish they had deeper conversations, I feel like there might have been one, maybe two deep conversations, but they were super short and then the scene changed right after.

On a side note, I can see more books coming from the side characters like Dean, Zoe, Carlos, and Marcy.

Overall this was an okay read, I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either, the way that the two main characters interacted really made this story have a higher rating. I would recommend this to people who want a nice fluffy romance with a brooding, ex pro boxing champion, and a feisty girl to keep him on his toes.

I listened to the book and the Boston accent was an experience. I definitely like fake dating and the book set up a wonderful fake dating scenario without overdoing it and it was just fun to listen to. I giggled a few times and by the end it was all wrapped up without being over the top

This was a sweet romance with loveable characters. An enjoyable read, or in my case listen. Although I will say because the MMC has a strong Boston accent which the male narrator performed well, sometimes it through me when he switched to read something the FMC says.

I’m a sucker for sport romances and this one was really cute and a fast read! The thing that lacked was no big emotional twist or drama. Yes there was the death of Rhys friend but I wanted something more, smoothing more heartbreaking and I never got it. It’s still a super fun read and would recommend it to anyone who loves quick reads and sports romance with quirky banter!!

“I love you. So fucking much, it scares me. So much, it fills me up and makes me think of nothing else. Loving you is like breathing. It’s impossible not to do.”

THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING!!
Outmatched is a wonderful and emotional story, I feel so hard over Parker and Rhys.
They are fake relantionship - opposites attract story and I loved everything. All of their banter with amazing chemistry that grows into protectiveness and support toward each other.
I also loved Rhys and Dean relationship as well as all secondary characters too.
I hope there will be many more books with secondary characters starting with Dean and Carlos!

Just finished the book and I can say without a doubt that I’ve enjoyed this one. “Outmatched” is a sports romance story with a little bit of comedy. I mean, I definitely enjoyed the way the main characters got to each other. Their interactions where to funny for my point of view and I couldn’t not mention it. They tried to avoid acknowledging their feelings in the most funny ways: "I shook off thoughts of holding that slim waist steady as I… No. No. No. Discipline, Morgan. Use your fucking discipline." Overall it was a great reading and I finished it in a day, that means I didn't get bored.
So, I can say that I enjoyed this story, I liked the way it was written and if you enjoy reading sports romance with a little bit of comedy you would enjoy this one too. I gave it ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars because I kinda wanted a different ending, but as I said before, I liked this book so I recommend it!
