What truly stands out is how Abby balances the psychological thriller elements with raw emotional depth. Lana’s character continues to evolve fierce yet vulnerable, and Logan’s internal conflict adds layers to the narrative that make it more than just a cat and mouse game. The writing is taut, and the cliffhangers are brutal in the best way.

Why not five stars? While the plot is undeniably compelling, the romance takes a bit of a backseat here, which might leave some readers craving more emotional payoff. Still, the story’s intensity and moral ambiguity make it a standout in the dark romance/thriller genre.

OMG, THIS BOOK IS A SOLID 5 STARS! I thought the first book was already so good, but I never expected the second one to be even better, it completely exceeded my expectations.

The characters are just as incredible as in the first book, but the plot here is way more interesting and definitely more intense! I was nervous, scared, and literally had goosebumps all over, my face even felt frozen because the plot was just that amazing. I honestly can’t remember the last book or movie that gave me chills like this. The plot is absolutely top-notch.

This time, the story really unfolds, the FBI uncovers more truths, and our FL Lana is still as badass as ever! I loved every second of it, especially the part where Lana saved the little girl from a monster. The girl (Lauren) thought Lana was an angel for rescuing her, even though everyone else saw her as a sadistic serial killer. That moment really made me sob, it was so powerful and emotional.

I definitely, highly recommend this book. A must-read!

These cliffhangers are killers. Thank goodness this series is already releases or i may not cope.
But this series seems to get better and better. The plot really plots with a lil romance which im loving.

Honestly, Lana's inner dialogue is hilarious and she is an icon.
