I loved the plot and characters. I especially loved reading about the shenanigans Carrie and her friends got up to, and the parts where she talks about her writing. I also really loved the book cover.

It was an okay read. I'm 18 so it started to get annoying and a bit childish. She kept going back to a guy that treated her like crap and I had to keep in mind she was younger than me. But it was a pretty easy read.

This is going to be a trashy, guilty pleasure read for me. It's cover is even pink, which is usually a bad sign, despite the fact that pink is my favorite color for clothes (and purses).

Don't judge me.

Anyway, this was a pleasant surprise! It is more Carrie a la Bushnell's original book than Carrie a la HBO series. If you can separate the two, it was a good older teen read (there's abortion talk, sexual situations, and some strong language). And the end? Perfection.

Even if you're not that into Sex and the City, this is a fun read!

Solid story of Carrie Bradshaw's senior year of high school. Fits well with what we know of the rest of Carrie's life and yet it's a unique story. Now, I'll have to go back and read more of Bushnell's books.

This is the prequel to Sex and the City. Carrie is in high school getting ready to graduate. I was excited to find out what the pre-New York Carrie was like, but was a little let down. I hoped it would be written for adults, but it felt very Sweet Vally High-ish. The story was okay, the characters were okay and there were very few moments where I felt the Carrie Bradshaw I know and love shone through.
