As much as I love Blythe as a character - I found this to be the weakest of the series and I think it comes down to plot pacing. We spend so much time developing an enemies to lovers relationship in the first third, that when new plot things happen in the second half they felt a bit rushed. Signa is barely in this book, which is fine with me, but also her whole family's involvement with Chaos felt shoved in to Blythe's story in order to get her more involved I guess?
Blythe's story in the latter half is SO sad, and it did make me emotional, just the sacrifices she has to make as someone who is such a strong willed character.Jury is out on the twist, I'm not sure how I feel about it.
I did ultimately enjoy Blythe and Aris's relationship, the library scene was very Beauty & the Beast. I also liked the epilogue. That felt like a full circle moment to me.

Last fifth is really enjoyable. But overall I'm disappointed. I don't want to read 250 pages full of banter and hate between a couple. I wanted the mystery-crime-fantasy from the first two books!

That ending ruined what otherwise would have been a 5-star book. I rated it at 3.5 just because the rest of the book was very good. However, the events at the end killed all the emotional momentum, and they weren’t necessary other than to add more shock value. There are a couple of other ways the ending could have been written to better effect without ripping the rug out from underneath the reader.

I'm so sad, the trilogy is over!
At first I was sad to lose Sigma's POV, but Blythe is such a wondering FMC, I love that she takes no shit and doesn't care for society at large and carves her own path. Aris is face smackable but in an hilarious way to get under Bylthe's skin but the two of them are a delight together. The arc of their romance was well written and made a lot of sense and I love how they came together.
This gets knock down in the scoring only because I feel like the addition of Chaos just added some more plot points that don't get wrapped up and at this time, I'm not sure if Grace is adding more books in this world (besides the upcoming Christmas novella). I just hope it's not added and left sincethere's more to answer for with Sigma's mom
