Would I recommend this book? Probably if you just want to finish the whole belladonna series. I really liked the book but I wasn’t too fond of the ending. I did love how creative this story got with adding more “deity’s” and making some of them or one problematic. This book was definitely not what I was expecting from Blythe’s book. I wasn’t really disappointed with the characters since I loved the banter between Blythe and Aris I guess I just wasn’t prepared for the plot and that heartbreaking twist at the end. Although I didn’t love the book I did think that it was well written. I’m starting to really love this authors way of describing scenery and even what a characters feeling. I had a good time and honestly wished we could have had more time with Life and Fate.

This one is my favourite in the series probably because I love Blythe the most. The ending made me feel so much. There are some good quotes from this trilogy.
This book is what happens when a book that should have been a standalone (Belladonna) is sold into a series.
The author clearly has the imagination and I would guess the writing chops too- to give us a hauntingly beautiful story like she hints at here. But instead we get a slapped together plot, and an incredibly messy, rushed ending.
The prose is often beautiful and evocative- the way she sets many of the scenes as they explore is quite magical. However nothing seemed to be moving the story forward and it felt like a little holiday novella. There was no real urgency or drama. Fate and Blythe mostly seem concerned about… faking out her concerned father? Why is never explained- he is viewed as crazy in town now and has no power to DO anything even if the reality was shown to him? But whatever, Papa must NOT find out.
60% into the book it becomes clear that Stephanie Garber and Adalyn Grace are friends. We get a new character, and it’s insinuated that there’s several more. We get some tangled threads of a backstory and some melodrama worthy of a daytime soap opera. Everything is named after a poison and nothing is explained any further than the shallowest surface level.
If you can suspend your desire to think at all- MAYBE it would seem climactic but unfortunately I found myself unable to.
My primary thought reading this book was- she should have stopped at Belladonna

Finally the last book of the series. This book is just as amazing as the previous two books. I loved the gradient of POVS over the two books. Book 1 being fully Signa, book 2 being signa and Blythe and book three with mostly Blythe (and Aris). Aris was such an asshole in the book. I still don’t really like him even after finishing the book. I think he was trying to be portrayed as a very confident MMC but he felt straight-up cocky to me. Blythe’s personality was really what kept me going

I did really enjoy this one, not as much as the other two, but it was still good. Unfortunately the ending didn’t quite do it for me (although it did have me crying.)
After experiencing the loss of the person you love more than anything in the whole world and suffering with that grief for hundreds of years, why would you then set that person up to experience that as well? Blythe was willing to go because she knew she would be reincarnated and find Aris again, he had no idea if that would also be the case for him. Sometimes self sacrifice is not romantic and this time it just really annoyed me.
Otherwise it was great, and I would love to just have a short little bonus snippet of the four of them just hanging out and being powerful together.
