Wisteria by Adalyn Grace

This might be my favorite book in the Belladonna series. Adalyn Grace has built such a consistently compelling world across all three books, but Wisteria truly stood out for me.

The story spotlights Blythe Hawthorne, a bold and layered heroine who finally steps into the lead. Wolfsbane to the heart, she’s fiery, stubborn, and rich with personality. Her dynamic with Aris is pure gold—their relationship crackles with tension, snark, and the perfect dose of “we can’t stand each other… until they realize they’re actually perfect for one another.” Watching that energy unfold was one of my favorite parts.

We also get more of Signa, but through a fresh perspective this time. Seeing her from Blythe’s point of view added an unexpected emotional layer—familiar, yet reframed in a way that felt entirely new.

One of the series’ strongest strengths—its mythological worldbuilding—continues to shine here. Grace weaves Fate, Death, and Life with the nuance of Greek god analogues: powerful, bound by rules, and deeply intertwined with human lives. And now, with the arrival of Solanine (Chaos), the stakes are pushed even further. He’s not yet fully humanized, but his presence—especially in Chapter 29—delivered some twists I didn’t see coming. The addition of Chaos brings a fresh and thrilling energy at just the right moment.

I also absolutely loved:
• Beasty, the animal companion—give me a magical, sassy sidekick, and I’m hooked.
• A dreamy library moment, where Blythe designs her ideal space. As someone who devours Beauty and the Beast vibes, this hit me right in the bookish soul.
• A sweet and satisfying epilogue that still leaves the door open for more in this world.

About spice: yes, it’s there—but always tasteful, never graphic. One distinct spicy scene and a couple of near-misses. I’d call it upper–YA, ideal for readers 16+.

Overall, this was a superb read: tight pacing, engaging characters, and a world that feels larger than ever. I gave it 4.5 stars—and if Adalyn Grace ever dives back into this universe (seriously, with Chaos in play?!), I’ll be first in line.

6/5 This was perfect, TRUE enemies/rivals to lovers, banter and yearning DONE RIGHT, and lore that was so well placed throughout the book and unfolded at the end! The ending though?! Tears were shed and I fear the only appropriate response will be to listen to the Hadestown soundtrack the rest of the day, reincarnation trope got me gal! And characters that are variations of Eurydice and Orpheus will forever haunt me
