Adalyn's writing and world-building are truly enchanting, but for me, nothing beats the first book. This installment seems to prioritize character growth over the storyline. I adored the whimsical and fantastical atmosphere it created, especially the wintery feel and how the magic intertwined with both the setting and the plot.
